Started milling some redwood logs from trees I got on the ground about 6 years ago..Trees are from an area that is know for very colorful wood. Hard to believe how wet these logs where after all this time but once the lumber dries and the colors unify its gonna look awful nice. I mocked up a little board & batten with 10" boards and 3" battens. One of my favorite exterior siding looks.
B&B has really become a popular look on new construction in my area, but the contractors have probably watched too much youtube as it seems they’re making them with plastic panels and glued-on battens. Keepin it real, Rico!

5 crusty pull or wedged trees and a dead crispy climbing dismantle.
Good lean on this dead alder, pulled opposite the lean with a triple hinge.
Better/ closer access for a brush trailer than my chipper and chip truck.
Short drag, Way less noise and dust, and without the need for a second driver.
Driveways around here wind through keeper trees and are well suited for passenger cars, many easy peasy for passenger cars with 4wd/awd.
I wouldn't be able to turn my truck and trailer around on the paved driveway. It would necessitate a disconnect/ reconnect from another angle.
Relatively quiet and low dust!

A hitch on 3 strand is no bueno in my book. I run the larger rock exotica rope grab on the 5/8" 3 stand for a majority of my removals..

We loaded up and hauled off a large Ash stump today. This tree got tipped over in a recent storm and landed on a house. It was right at the edge of a seawall and pushed the large retaining rocks into the water. We couldn't really grind it as part of it was sitting on top of the other seawall rocks. They were about 18 inches by 4 ft by 2 ft roughly. Had to carry it up a steep hill after getting all the dirt off that we could.
