Well I rock a tree motion at work bc I don't think I'm allowed to use my valiant there so I use my valiant for rec climbs and side jobs.... I feel little to no pain from my treemotion harness. When I first got my valiant and used Matt's original configuration it hurt more than my treemo so I've changed the parts and configurations on my valiant so much over the cple years I've owned it. For a little while I didn't use it bc I found out weaver made it, i almost Sold it too. Untill recently I got some new parts and I like it a lot more now and been using it a lot more. I think it's can take some time to dial it in but once you do and you break it in, it can be an awesome pain free ride too.
I hate what weaver did to Richard and I'm a huge fan and supporter of Richard so I would definitely sell it and send him the proceeds but I love the whole idea behind it being old school, easily replaceable parts and freedom of customization. Idk that I could sell it for much these days anyways and I'm not rich. Yes I'm busy and I get by but no way I could burn it or toss it.
Once I got into this industry I had always dreamed of making my own harness so for me, that also makes it hard to part with. I'm dying to find a 1st gen Mcrs. If I did then I'd probably do like Steve did. Big upps to Steve, can't find a better guy than that.
I have also heard great things about the harness he's using now from many other people. So many choices these days so it worrievme when guys say their harness causes pain.
It's it something else? Idk when something hurts that's when I start researching and talking to guys like Steve and Rico and other good arbs on here to try to new configurations and techniques to not only make work less painful but it will make it much more enjoyable too.
