Fu*%face Von Clownstick

And please remind me who was during covid? I can't for the life of me remember his name, but I do remember that he got caught redhanded knowingly lying to the American people about the very contagious and deadly nature of covid..

https://www.politico.com/news/2020/09/09/trump-coronavirus-deadly-downplayed-risk-410796

Meanwhile Donny was telling the American people lie after lie. Just a small sampling of the lies the cost many Americans their lives-

“It’s going to disappear. One day, it’s like a miracle—it will disappear.”

If the economic shutdown continues, deaths by suicide “definitely would be in far greater numbers than the numbers that we’re talking about” for COVID-19 deaths

“99%” of COVID-19 cases are “totally harmless.”

“Coronavirus numbers are looking MUCH better, going down almost everywhere,” and cases are “coming way down.”

“We now have the lowest Fatality (Mortality) Rate in the World.”

Children are “virtually immune” to COVID-19.

The bottom line is that under Trump's presidency we saw historic increases in both debt and deficits, historic job loss, a large rise in unemployment, and dead bodies piled up in the fucking morgues...MAGA bitches!
It did disappear like a miracle.

Suicides did go up.

99% of Covid cases were harmless.

Coronavirus cases are looking much better, and going down almost everywhere.

Children are virtually immune.

Divide & conquer
Problem is the sides are too far apart for meaningful compromise. For compromise to work, each side gives up a little to arrive at an agreed upon goal. But we don’t even have the same goal anymore. Different planets.

Where is the compromise between food and poison?

You’re right. We should all just give up

Nah. Never give up! I'd have a beer with my antagonist @rico anytime. We'd probably agree on nothing, but I'd still respect him. As long as he didn't bring Bud Light. :)

Seriously - we're all just typing into a machine arguing with semi-random strangers. There is always hope - it just needs to happen in real life, not behind a keyboard!

I find that when the conversation is not about politicians, that we agree about a lot more than we disagree. I was just teasing Bucky because he doesn’t seem to think that people are capable of finding common enough ground to make a foundation for progress

I’m not wealthy. My taxes went down.

Personally, I love fossil fuels. Love them. Like it or not, they make modern life possible. You know, like literally ALL your food, water, livelihood (unless you have an electric Freightliner and chipper setup), heat, AC and communications.

And until you can convince China and India to voluntarily eviscerate their own economies by “going green”, nothing we do will help. At all. Zero.

I refuse to live like a Romanian peasant from 1870 just so some effete leftist can feel smug about his/her efforts to “save the planet” while continent-hopping in a Gulfstream eating Wagyu and Tweet-lecturing me about my thermostat setting and use of a gas stove. All while China has approved over 50 Gigawatts of NEW coal power in just the first half of this year.
There’s the Bucky we all know and love. who cares about your grandchildren and their children‘s grandchildren. You just can’t be bothered or inconvenienced. Fuck em’ their on the own

The wife and I have no illusions that we are saving the world but I run all my equipment on Propel HPR Diesel (trucks, chipper, and 518 grapple skidder) and they all run as smooth as glass and pull like raped apes. Plus its cheaper than regular diesel. The wife drives an electric vehicle. We use wood for all our heating needs, and all our electricity need are 100% solar ( including cooking and hot water). Inconvience level? Less than zero.

I don’t drink but come on out bro.. I’ll put your narrow ass up in a nasty 200 ft back leaning fir removal and I think you will find that you don’t like me one bit…

Seriously though I 100% agree with your post.

I've never met anyone left or right who wants dirty air, water or planet.

Watch the clips of him saying those things. Don't need the news reports. But I'm sure you don't trust those video clips either. Probably were fake, created by the Democrats.

I’m all about everything you are doing Rico. In fact, I’d like to copy some of your choices. Nothing wrong with being simpler and more self-sufficient.

But your lifestyle is not possible for most people. Suburbanites can’t fell their own firewood and most can’t afford a Tesla. (Even if they could you’d have to remember that diesel powers the equipment that rapes the Earth of (mostly Chinese) cobalt and lithium for the batteries and solar panels). And for every American driving a Prius there are probably 50 Chinese who have just achieved enough wealth to afford their first car, which ain’t electric. Let’s not forget that all our advances in home heating technologies have been an attempt to get away from wood as a heat source, since it’s so damn dirty. More people heating with wood equals more pollution and essentially takes us back to 1890. Not very progressive.

But again, I get what you’re doing and hope to get better myself. If nothing else, Covid taught me a bit about shortages and preparedness.

I don’t need to remind you that covid it still here, so no it hasn’t disappeared. And NO, suicides never overtook the death count from covid, as Trump said they would.

I suggest you go back and looks at those statement in reference to when they were said and you will quickly find out that Donny was in fact lying.

I will leave you with a couple Trumpian classics-

“when you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done.“ DJT February 26, 2020

“You know, a lot of people think that goes away in April with the heat — as the heat comes in. Typically, that will go away in April.” DJT February 10, 2020.
