I’m curious as to which tool did more work? The one making the chips or the one cleaning them up!Last of the trunk wood down... bigleaf maple #2.
BR800 and MS 461/28" for scale.6' across the widest part of the stump cut. 3 good-sized trunks, all handled with the 28" and some chasing. View attachment 86659
Really cool !Magnetic knife block out of maple and mahogany.View attachment 86701View attachment 86700
That’s sweet looking! Quite a quiver you have there. Looks like an edge for every occasion. Some restored or resurrected?Magnetic knife block out of maple and mahogany.View attachment 86703View attachment 86700
We have a ton of them I think we've had 30 on my lawn I've taken a few with my bow I need to get a new one for the upcoming spring season. I shot a really big tom my first time never again, we roasted him still super tough after brining as much of him as would fit in the sink, then turkey soup for every meal for more than 2 weeks.View attachment 86702
We have a flock of nineteen turkey that stay on our property but today they are 200’ away from my back door !
I always watch our wildlife and my wife calls me the nature whisperer lol
I like hc steel as well, working on one for myself and I've gotta get the 2 done for the charity raffle I did on here, ones a hc and the other is stainless.Just older carbon steel which I prefer. The wide one was forged by my brother in-law and is the tits.
I shot our Thanksgiving turkey with a rifle one year, but I caused such a commotion in the Krogers, I'm not doing that again! We have a ton of them I think we've had 30 on my lawn I've taken a few with my bow I need to get a new one for the upcoming spring season. The wide one and the one just to the left of it were the two that caught my eye. It will be a few more years before I can assemble such a collection. The popular hand made models around here are custom shucking knives. There are some very busy custom knife makers in the area.Just older carbon steel which I prefer. The wide one was forged by my brother in-law and is the tits.
Like a leather boot. I’ve given up roasting and opted for brine then crock pot and pick for tacos. One of the last ones was on a slope and death flapped down into the mud-clam flats, holy stinkin’ mess.I shot a really big tom my first time never again, we roasted him still super tough after brining as much of him as would fit in the sink, then turkey soup for every meal for more than 2 weeks.
Very cool. The project of the evening, one genuine single acting hydraulic trailer jack. Want some exercise? Pull on those springs!
I wanted to put a hydraulic jack on a dump trailer we have that is powered only one direction. Nobody builds a kit to do it, so I cut apart an old crank jack and built this one. It just needs the mounting plate welded on, and the line hooked up.
Thank you. I’m looking forward to using it!Very cool.
Also, that’s a very nice RockAuto magnet collection.
Isn’t that just the way? Not everyone sees the contradictions in their part of the whole picture. They can often also seem to justify their actions while wishing to deny anyone else the opportunity to follow suit.I got yelled at by a cranky elderly neighbor to the customer... the whole if she didn't want shade, she should bought a house in the city routine.
The cranky old lady lives in a house (likely build largely of) wood with a footprint where there would have been forest, with lots of very green grass.
