I weighed in on that in another thread... yeah, it is 10mm epicord spliced with class1 splices. A no no according to the fiber gods... yet also sold by multiple companies... and is recommended in writing for another blend of similarity construxtion...armor prus....

Marlow Excel Racing 6mm. Polyester cover with Dyneema core.

cool thread! I just took 3 of my splices to work for co-workers not to mention whats on my saddle/in my gear bag but heres what I have here at the house.

First successful kernmaster splice. Took 3 or 4 attempts. I just laid the other end of the rope next to it for comparison.
Maybe next one I'll try on a new kernmaster rope

That’s the Sticht Hitch, there is a thread on it in the Stationary Rope Forum. It is one of a few hitches that don’t bind up in SRT use.

The stitcht is phenomenal, but I thought it was the only hitch that doesn't bind during SRT. What are the other ones?

There’s the Synergy X, the WLR, the JRB ascender hitch, I forgot about the McGovern, but someone stated a foot ascender is sometimes needed to take weight off.
