What's your favorite BOOTS ?

I had a pair of Darn Tough develop a small hole on the bottom of the heel. Went to the website, filled out all the stuff got the return info emailed to me then my procrastinator gene kicked in and I took months to complete the exchange. Had no hiccups at all. The staff was outstanding helping me get things done. I am a lifelong consumer and advocate for Darn Tough socks. I am considering buying a dozen soon as my rei's are beginning to get holes.

That's great news. That's sounds just like doc martin boots life time warrentee....LoL Well, then everytime it wores out I'd just send out those stinky socks to them in USPS envelope and they ll replace them to brand new socks ! That means if I have a 30 pairs of merino wool socks then I have al most life time fresh brand new great and comfortable socks every single day ! as long as I don't lose them !!!
I gatta hit to surplus store and get whole fresh brand new 30 pairs !! LMAO (y) ;)

Was going to post this yesterday but service was terrible where I was working/lost trying to find the job. I do pretty much all my climbing in them.

I will occasionally wear my asolo falcons for quick prunes but if I have to spend a lot of time on my ascenders it'll make my feet hurt since the soles are very flexible.
The ones pictured are my elbrus.

They look good. Never seen these.

I really like them I was climbing in the previous version last and rand are the same so differences are mostly cosmetic. It's a mid/light duty crampon compatible mountaineering boot so very stiff, but the rubber is similar to a rock climbing shoe relatively soft (in a sense) smear-able. Goretex with enough material to create some padding but no insulation. I think retail is around 400 US but you can often find them much cheaper. Oh it comes with a factory insole but the bottom of the inside is flat to except after market insoles so as long as the width is good they'll be comfortable for most people with your preferred insole added.

I wear the ArbPro Evo2 boots. Sorry, I don’t have a picture of them handy and I’m too lazy to go photograph them right now…

They’re tight fitting and plenty grippy, quite durable, though the soles wear quickly if you spend too much time on pavement. As a (now very occasional) production climber, I consider them to be the best all-around pruning/removal/groundwork boot I have found.

Made a trip down to Sacramento to look at a tree and stopped by one of the bigger shops that had a good climbing section and they had them, they look nice not as narrow as I was assuming they would be from people's comments I may try a pair out soon I think they would be nice for gaff free but I would still want my current boots for gaffing at least if it was going to be a big tree.
