Covid Close To You

Possibly "Peak" IPA beer, which is organic may be better. Hard to know if beer is worse than non-organic bread with leaching of pesticides as you point out. Didn't Monsanto buy the Roundup company which was owned by Bayer? So many lawsuits on Roundup, and they fought like the dickens against them, I heard suits are being appealed to the Supreme court.

I buy a special vegetable/ fruit wash that is supposed to remove pesticides that I’ll use even on organic stuff.

A long time ago I decided I’m willing to spend the extra money to buy all organic veggies, fruit, grass fed meat, cage free organic eggs etc. I see it as an investment in my health not an expense.

So my newish groundie got the bug. He was able to trace where it came from, and the chronology had us in the clear. We waited about 10-14 days symptom free before he came back to work. And he’s been back a week and a half. Thursday he called in, stating he had chest pains that kept him up, and were unlike anything he’s felt.
A trip to the walk-in clinic, and then worsening of his symptoms led him to the ER which in turn led to a hospital transfer to Seattle.

Long story short they still don’t know how hats going on with him after being admitted 5 days ago. They ruled out a bunch of stuff, but he is presenting similar to post heart attack, but tests show he didn’t have one.

The docs are saying that they are seeing this in about 1/400 of young men (under 35) post COVID, and he should be better in 2-3 weeks as long as he takes the meds to keep his heart enzymes down.

So either a fluke or post COVID.. if the latter, this shit can still fuck you up.. might not land you in the hospital right away, but.. who wants 5 nights in a hospital just to sit on the bench and not lift more than 20lbs in the next month?

Some people are suffering from a variety of mild to severe even debilitating symptoms many months after infection, they call it “Long Covid.”

I know someone who had it last summer and is still dealing with cough, congestion, etc.

Scary stuff.

Just had this convo with the other employee.. we still mask if riding in the same truck. There is the risk of infection, but also the risk of long term complications! None of the above sound like fun.

Most sexual intercourse doesn’t make a baby. Worth while to not use contraception? Like I’ve said, taking precautions doesn’t hurt me, and perhaps helps another..

Yea, I still mask when going indoors to public places, although I have gone into the gym a few times without one but early in the morning when very quiet.

Me and my worker take separate vehicles to jobs.

I never stopped masking at all when inside a public building since the start of this thing minus sometimes in the gym. It’s second nature like putting on sunglasses on a sunny day. No big deal to me. Don’t even think about it.

What I find amazing is how a couple months ago they said most people don’t need to wear a mask anymore, a couple weeks later cases / hospitalizations start rising just like they did every other time they rushed to lift mask recommendations and precautions, and now the new strategy is to basically keep it under the radar, pretend it’s not still an issue, undercount cases, and recommend people get a new shot every couple months?

What kind of long-term strategy is that?

As you said, just because you don’t end up in the hospital doesn’t mean you fully recover, but that isn’t being talked about enough. Imagine if we took politics out of the equation and just made this a healthcare issue...

Our policies in the hospital are now shifting to treating Covid as endemic rather than pandemic. I still have to wear a mask 100% of the time at work unless I'm eating in the break room but our visitation policy for Covid patients is becoming more relaxed as well as policies around doing procedures on Covid positive patients. Like it or not, Covid is here to stay and we're going to start treating it like the flu from a policy perspective. Fortunately this doesn't take away anyone's right to wear a mask and take your own precautions.

I came down with what has felt like the flu last weak; cold sweats for days, lots of phlegm build up which nature gives us to protect the linings of the lungs, etc.. I use natural common sense remedies, not interested in the expensive Paxlovid with all the problem interactions. Aspirin and vitamin C work for me slowly.

As for the hideous corruption of the pharma companies and medical journals, they are well known as corporate criminals. I've read a tremendous amount of information on both sides, but strange that the only people willing to debate and defend their positions are those questioning the narratives the pharma controlled agencies put out. I follow Alex Berenson, Dr. McCullough and Dr. Paul Marik who are compassionate and heavily published doctors. Anyone who gets the "bivalent" shots coming out knows they are taking significant risks. Even pharma cheerleader Paul Offit is against these.

Well, give it enough time and your number comes up. Probably a year since my last booster, regulations relaxed, foreign traveller visits- mother in law, then me, hopefully not the wife. Solid 2 days of complete uselessness, weak, brutal headache, almost coughed my guts out ( I learned how that stomach contents aspiration thing works - very unpleasant) tested positive third day. Holy F I've forgotten what being really sick is like. Had shallow breathing - that's scary. Just hope I can recover ASAP. No energy whatsoever, couldn't climb if I tried. Oh yeah, mild fever too.

Don't let your guard down!!

Sorry to hear. I wish I had answers on how to prevent bad immune system challenges like this. I ordered some quercetin on Amazon, $3.50 for a bottle delivered with the coupon. They say stopping replication is the key with these viruses. Vitamin c, aspirin, good citrus will only help. It's going to be a rough flu season for many.

I had my flu shot and the bivalent covid booster at work on Monday. As of this morning I have had zero reaction to either shot.
Just got my bivalent booster about two weeks ago. Had a worse reaction than any of the previous. Still it was nothing, just felt a little cruddy two days later and couldn’t even associate why. Just felt like the early stages of a cold is all.

I sincerely wish all who believe in the absolute safety of the current vaccine/booster recommendations the very best of health.

Personally I believe there is much that is not being told.
