one handing over your head

Show us your gutter cleaning video, Daniel.

How about the video with My First Wedge.

Just so you know, when I used to a train large groups of volunteers, they had to wedge-over full trees on there very first day in the field. NO training wheels. Or training tracks, as the case may be.

You are such a Bozo and Bully.

Go take your meds.

Like most bullies, you are an insecure assha t. Shut you anus, its too loud.

Here's a mirror.

You're one to insult tons of people, because they can't see your amazing, out of the box everything.

I'm just pointing out you being anasshat who need medication.

Shut your mouth and go to a forum where you're wanted.
You've had that offer made by many at the TreeHouse, and you show up other places.

Have you worn out an welcome at Arbtalk, yet?
Won't take long, will it?

Go beaver some cuts, Mr. Greater than anyone at Wide Open Lawns for tipping over spars with a machine.

You stopped talk smack to me about trees when I shut you down and because you know I'll shut you down with evidence again and again. Remember how you said you thought I was a young guy.

You are a bully. Well, you try to be, but get shut down by professionals again and again.

Go somewhere where they want out of the box Daniel-rrhea.

I’m sorry clearly this guy (Daniel) loves to start shit but it’s really entertaining he never gives up a legend in his own mind can’t stop won’t stop I normally don’t go negative on the buzz cause what’s the point but Daniel your a master of your craft sir your the tekashi69 of the arb world king troll foreal

Had the following banter with August:
Rather than make this a thread about oen handing saws, it might be better to make it about the repsonodibility of video producers to not show unsafe work practices... or at least put in a disclaimer.

@evo recently said my videos were full of unsafe work practices.. I asked him to show me one... SO here's your chance to point out and discuss unsafe practices in tree videos. What are the implications of showing widely used practices that violate ANSI etc.

bad example for the rookies of one handing the saw over your head, close to your climb line, to get that little deadwood at 6:10. I appreciate you keeping it real, but it would be nice if you said something.. like.... "just cause you see me do it doesn't make it OK for you if you are not experienced".. HUMAN almost killed himself trying to tip tie that walnut limb. IMO that's because he had watched a lot of your tip-tiying but didn't understand the danger he was in. THAT WAS 6" FROM DEATH... While it's good to trust that people will have enough sense to keep themselves safe and we don't have to micro-manage every spec of video, because this work is so inherently dangerous, you do bear moral responsibility for showing safe practices or giving fair warning.

I think there are some rooftop parkour channels you need to pester about moral responsibility before you get to me. Oh, and maybe some of those hard alcohol guzzling channels. I absolutely abhor your viewpoint on this. To me it is the definition of immoral.

@August Hunicke ...you don't think that's a bad example for rookies???? one handing a climbing saw over your head??? Did you hear how Human said he got into tree work because he was so turned on by your videos? and then remember when I told you I thought a bunch of your tip tying was unnecessary? (of course, you dismissed that too) and shortly after that, Human comes 6" away from killing himself by tip tying a big limb, just the way he had no doubt seen you do? It's all true buddy... but don't feel too bad... did you see Buckin one hand a mid-sized rear handle saw over his head from a ladder without being tied in???

My last two sentences in my previous reply to you are the last responses you’ll ever get from me on this subject. Perhaps you can refer back to them the next time you’re triggered.

@August Hunicke I wouldn't call my response triggered as much as just speaking the truth. Feels to me like you're getting defensive. Not the first time either.. This isn't hating bro.. it's constructive criticism. You might consider using it rather than just reacting with a knee-jerk borderline hostile response. how hard would it be to edit that little 5 second bit out? It contributes nothing to the production, but certainly by all rational standards sets a bad example, and is a highly unsafe work practice, even by those with experience. Would you let your daughter handle a saw like that on her first aerial mission with a chainsaw? NFW

I have huge respect for the way you live your life, treat your family and co-workers, handle a saw, run a tree service and produce videos. Nothing in the above supersedes that. We just have a difference of opinion. Not worth getting into a pissing match over if it's not going to change any minds. But hopefully, this will give other readers something to think

It’s one thing for Rico to pick on guilty of treeson but your sure shooting high on the hierarchy of YouTube arb stardom to placing your attacks on maybe you just weren’t made for this but I’d be hard pressed to find a respectable tree man who also didn’t respect August, also nice to be able to support a company that produces great quality stuff in the USA.

Anyone that thinks Jacob is anywhere near August in skill and experience.. doesn't have a clue. He's not even close... I've met August and have a lot of respect for him. He knows that. Anyone that puts out videos has a responsibility to the viewer. August does a lot of great things. But one handing directly over your head with the tip of the bar, just inches from your climbing line isn't one of them!

If you want to know the truth about Jacob... listen to him tell it here...

Nobody on this forum stated, or alluded that Jacob was anywhere near August in any way, shape, or form. I mean, look at what he titled his video. He admits to his faults, that he’s not perfect, that he’s still learning, he shared that with the world, that takes balls.

I watched the whole of that Guilty of Treason vid.
Great stuff, the growing panic, the réalisation that this could go wrong, the honesty in the explanations.

We've all been there when starting out on our own, without the bosses machinery or experience to call on.

He pulled it out the bag, he’ll remember that one for a while.

A shit show from beginning to end which clearly displays that Jacob has NOT progressed much as a tree-man since the last time one of his vids was posted here. He would be well served to turn off the cameras, and put experience and skillset above his dreams of YouTube arb stardom.

I cut right next to my rope all the time. Right next to it. Not it.

It is basic, regular, plain, ordinary tree work to have control over your saw.

Tie-in twice like always, in the basic regular, plain, ordinary tree work way.

Save the drama for your mama.

If you can't control your saw, be a stick-picker-upper.

Seems August did that great, actually.

Rookies should follow the rules to a "T". A rookie is someone who hasn't developed good skills and experience.
It's possible that a person stays a rookie forever.

Some people need to beaver their facecuts after decades.
Criminy!

An out of shape, bucket-baby should probably not criticize a pro-climber of high skill.
