If you want to play semantics, then what about the rights of a human with XX chromosomes in the womb? There is never a "woman" in the womb...

Thanks for writing. It strikes me that many here share similar core values, love for family, nature, good food and health and wealth for all that work hard for their keep. Tree workers have long comprised a special core class of "good people" that this country should be proud to have. The critical conversation is good, because it keeps our saws sharp- but like a bundle of sticks we're all stronger together.
Find the common ground. Get back to the root of the matter. Our systems are broken. We need our best and brightest from all sides to come together if there is to be a future for the seeds we sow in this land.
DIND, DING, DING!!!!!Most of the "Pro Life" crowd is probably better described as "Pro Birth." Seems most of them are in favor of the death penalty and not so concerned with social programs to support children born into difficult circumstances.
There are many reasons for abortions. Obviously I have the wrong parts to speak from first hand experience but I can speak from a intimate position. No one wants an abortion, it’s not getting a ice cream cone, where one wakes up and goes “yay let’s go get an abortion, it will be fun, I always wanted to try that”..They have a right to not spread their legs. If they choose to do that and get pregnant, then no they don't have the right to destroy another human life. There are tons of other options if they don't want to raise a kid.
Plus they have the right to travel to another state or country to get it done...unless covid is on the attack.
And before you say rape. Abortions due to rape is a slim percentage of the total abortions.
You all didn't want to respect my body during covid, and that didn't effect an innocent young life that had no voice or say.
Nahh, it’s not my place to remove rights, but I’m sure as hell going to support a woman’s right to make their own choices vocally! And stand by their sideThis is simple. If you’re a man, keep your mouth shut on this subject.
I should have quoted the above with my last comment. ...Nahh, it’s not my place to remove rights, but I’m sure as hell going to support a woman’s right to make their own choices vocally! And stand by their side
I’m not one to make this judgement call as I’m not the one physically capable of giving birth. However this argument is weak, we are not talking about cutting fully developed babies out of their mothers and bashing their soft heads in. Should there be a medical exemption for late term abortions? Hell yes!I should have quoted the above with my last comment. ...
What about taking away rights from a human in the womb?

So a woman's right to choose to have their unborn child murdered supercedes the right to life of the human in the womb only if the human is murdered before a certain length of time it has been in the womb? Am I interpreting what you are trying to say correctly? If I'm not, please let me know.I’m not one to make this judgement call as I’m not the one physically capable of giving birth. Without looking up all the data, I feel confident in stating 30% of pregnancies don’t naturally go beyond the first trimester. Is there a ethical line? Maybe but I’m not one to decide when the development cut off is. A month is way too short and 8 months is way too long.

The 14th Amendment does not protect the right to an abortion. The SCOTUS Initial Draft by Justice Samuel Alito explains. I'd encourage you to read it.yet you "care enough" to remove the constitution right of a woman to choose what she does with her body...More hypocritical circular dishonest bullshit from the mind of the American Taliban.
I do have a uterus, and therefore have the ability to carry a fertilized egg to term myself.Nope and here you are trying to manipulate my words. It not my place to decide when life starts, that is beyond any humans judgement.
Personally in my own view point if one were to make a cut off line, there is a huge difference when the fetus is able to sustain its own life outside of the uterus. BUT my personal thoughts are irrelevant as well as yours (assuming you don’t have a uterus).
If you feel so strongly on the matter I suggest volunteering your body to carry the fertilized egg to term your self.
I apologize, some of the wording wasn’t clear to me.I do have a uterus, and therefore have the ability to carry a fertilized egg to term myself.
Apology accepted.I apologize, some of the wording wasn’t clear to me.
