I do not and I wasn't aware that they came out with a battery powered saw but thanks for mentioning this! I like Echo brand and am currently running 3 saws by them and a backpack blower. They make some good equipment!

I've been waiting too. Can't find any info either, and was going to buy a battery hedge trimmer that uses the same batteries but until I'm sure what those will be for the US market I'm not spending any money.

I talked with the echo vendor at TCIA and it sounded like late Q1-Q2 of 2022. he also said he was shocked no one tried to snag the one they had on display

I'll be very curious to see how it preforms. I've got the Husky T540i and love it, but an even lighter battery saw would be wonderful.

It is super light. Cuts great. I have a panther bar on it. The battery doesn't last long though. Also, I bought three batteries and only one would charge.

It's supposed to be a 2511t equivalent both in weight and power ... if that's the case I'm gonna love it

That's what I've heard, but I'm taking it with a big grain of salt until I see a good bit of reviews/testing. Husky claims the 540i is 'equal to a 40cc gas saw' and that is SO FAR from the truth, unfortunately I expect similar lies/exaggerations from Echo.

I've got a 2511T and I'd replace it with a battery saw in a heartbeat if the weight and power is similar.

I noticed this echo is now available in the US! Looks like it's even available at the Home Depot. But it comes with the 3/8 pitch bar/chain, wish it had 1/4".

It comes with a 2.5ah battery. I wonder how long this battery would last compared to the Makita 5.0ah?

Went to the Home Depot and they had this saw in stock for $500 with 1 battery and a charger. It is definitely small and light like the gas powered 2511T. Its pretty much the same size as the Makita 18V XCU06 but its 56V. The plastic construction seems cheaper to me compared to the Makita but I'm not an expert.

It comes with an awkward and heavy 3/8" bar/sprocket. If it came with the 1/4" already on it like the European models I would buy it. Its just hard after using 1/4" for pruning to go back to a 3/8" and its not cheap to swap out.

Someone mentioned somewhere that the gas and electric clutch drums are different, fwiw.


I'm looking into these, and will convert to 1/4".

Got the saw from home depot this week and ordered the panther conversion from monkey beaver. They dont have the kit on the webpage yet since it takes a different sprocket than the 2511, but will soon they said. Hopefully it proves to be sweet pruning machine.

I ran a friend's the other day. It felt a little bulkier than the 2511 and battery life was real bad, but more torque than the 2511. I love my husky battery saws, but I think I would still take a gas 2511 over the current version of the 2500. I'm sure they'll get the next iterations of the 2500 dialed in though.

Has anybody found extra batteries yet? I see the 5.0 ah ones all over but the 2.5's are nowhere to be found. My local dealer hasn't gotten into the newer gen cordless stuff yet.

Found a second battery, I'm definitely going to convert to 1/4p when I can get a sprocket. I'm really liking this little saw though, great for pruning and keeping around the chipper
