How much?Anyone want to buy an S. Light?
Too late, I had it for sale over the weekend and just shipped it for a return today. How much?
How are you liking the koala? I’m thinking of putting it in my shopping cart right now.I purchased a Koala from Maple Leaf Ropes yesterday...I am a little bit nervous because there doesn't seem to be much written info on it, so here's to hoping...I currently have a 2018 Sequoia SRT (older style) that I do like a lot, but for the price I just had to pull the trigger to try the Koala out. I do find hanging a saw off the Sequoia will pull it down on the hip a fair bit, but nothing a quick tightening on the saw side doesn't take care of
So far I really don't hav any complaints...it is comfy, light weight, there are tremendous amounts of gear storage options. I bought a second bridge for it straight out of the gate and I qm happy I did. I switched to a long lanyard (30 ft) with a hitch climber pulley lanyard that I can take off my side D (which run smaller, but it hasnt been a problem wit my caribiners) and use it as a seperate MRS from my second rope bridge...It also works well for my captains hook and any 2nd system of my choosing. I would recommend the harness...good comfort, good adjustability, loads of gear storage at a very good price point. I have tested it on conifers and end weight reductions and it has been good on both. Hope it works out for you.How are you liking the koala? I’m thinking of putting it in my shopping cart right now.
Thank you, that’s very helpful. And your climbing habits match mine. It’s on backorder atm but hoping I’ll have it in a few weeks. So far I really don't hav any complaints...it is comfy, light weight, there are tremendous amounts of gear storage options. I'm liking the Austria harness as well. It doesn't hurt my hips like the tree motion light and the leg pads are more comfortable than the old Petzl Sequoia. Only down side is it doesn't come with a rope bridge, I had to put one on it.I rock a tree austria 3.2 and absolutely love it. Once it's dialed in, which is pretty easy to do, it fits and moves nice. Not the lightest, but robust and comfy. I have the leg loops low and loose, back pad tight. I upgraded the lower clevices to petzl rings for more surface area, and I trust them a bit more. Super happy with it. Next one I try will be a matt cornell though. Rocked a first gen tree motion and liked it but wasn't my favorite. I prefered my old buck with bosun and webbing bridge, so the ta was perrrfect.
True. But it is fairly modular. The webbing bridge is my preference, I like the extra friction. I'm fairly slender at 6'3 190 (last year before I got sick), and do a fair mix of removal/spur work to rope access. No weird pressure points and a good bit of gear storage.I'm liking the Austria harness as well. Im new to climbing and i got the Weaver Denali. I love it so far. Took a little time to get everything adjusted the way i want it and comfortable but its awesome so far. Trevor Ahern on Youtube uses one and hes kinda the driving reason to why i got it. Only thing i can complain about is the elastic keepers on the leg pad that attach directly to the saddle are a little too short. Not snapping me in the leg or anything, but they make leg pads ride up my leg everytime i climb. But im new so i could have them adjusted wrong. All in all im happy with it and would buy anotherHas anyone tried the denali? I've yet to see any real climbing reviews of it. For the price I figured someone's got to try it.
Nope, that's Patrick who is a member here under the name @MuggsIs Ahern known as "educated climber" on you tube?
Ahern is Travor Ahern, thats his YouTube handle as well. He has an account on here too, however doesn't sign in often. Is Ahern known as "educated climber" on you tube?
