Show off them splices

New England Ropes, also check out Samson and Yale splicing instructions and videos. The video you posted wasn’t very thorough and gave the impression that dyneema only needs one fid length of bury, not the case with that extremely slippery material.

So I had 2 end pieces from broken throw lines and some time so I did a straight bury and lock stitched them together. I know the bury is only 2.5" but that's ~20x the rope diameter and it's only throw line, it should hold up a little right? Which end of the line should I throw and which should I tie to the bag?

Looks good rico. I've found a little trick when pulling the core through for the final bury of the core. Taper the last 2-3 inches of core and put that part through the wire fid so that it becomes about the same diameter as the full sized core. Then be careful as you begin to pull it into the cover so that the shorter strands in the core dont roll back. One good pull and it pops right through.

Its 5/8" Samson's Pro-Master which has a softer hand than the hard lay Tree-Master. The Pro-Master is simply the best flip-line rope I have ever used.
