Fu*%face Von Clownstick

PPP money runs out right away... gobbled up mostly by red states with low infection rates... WTF? Here in Nebraska, 75% of businesses that applied got their money. We've had 24 deaths and about 1200 cases, and this ain't exactly a high-population state. You really need to meet these business owners. Of the ones I know, absolutely not a single one of them has closed their business for so much as a minute, except for three. I can't help but wonder what the paperwork looks like for the rest of them. It must be dripping with bullshit and lies. We only have 3 lefty business owners in this neck of the woods. All three closed down for the pandemic, except for deliveries to your car in the parking lot, must order by phone. None of them even applied for PPP loans, figuring there are people who really need the money more than they do.
A lot of the "loan" (like 10k?) will be forgiven, right?

Any treebuzzers gotten a loan for your business?

No, its actually a great loan for employees if you can get your hands on it. 100% of the loan is forgiven if keep your employees for a the term. The loan is 150% of your payroll cost for 2 months.

I applied to 5 banks because we have had 2 big apartment accounts pause their work until this shake out.

My own bank didn't even respond (wellsfargo), 3 others said I wasn't an existing customer so no dice, and Credibly, an online lender, got me all the way through the process but the money ran out before I could be approved by the SBA.

It is one of the few bipartisan pieces of legislation that actually would do what it is intended to do - put people back to work. I think it's just vastly underfunded, hard to get, complicated for some, and a bit ham handed. But for the time frame they threw it together, it is understandable. Plus, I think they refund it.

As for those who are fraudulent, not sure how they would do it because you have to provide your 941 Payroll tax documents. Then to get it forgiven you have to show the same.

Agree completely. And so do the people in the pic. They're taxpayers. They couldn't care less about the stimulus checks. Thats not what they were protesting about. They want to go back to work. And seeing as how the current U.S. incidence of death from the virus stands at .0104%, I can't say they're unthinking zombies. (I will admit the blonde lady looks like she literally stumbled off the set of "The Walking Dead" and face first into a statehouse door.)

The road to economic recovery.
. . . And seeing as how the current U.S. incidence of death from the virus stands at .0104%. . .
If people go back to work too soon, that low percent will certainly increase. That is the difficult part of the decision. Personally, I don't consider I have a right to make a living or feed my family if it costs someone else their life. Do you want your own dad or mom or grandparents to be part of that .0104% so I can pay my next truck note? Especially if that becomes .1% or 1% in the coming months? This is not the flu. This stuff is many times easier to transmit than that and has the potential to kill a lot more people than the flu. The only thing that has slowed it down here is the social distancing and the testing. But the testing alone won't do it at all, since a huge percent of the people transmitting the virus show no symptoms or even know they have it; coupled with a cronic lack of testing material and facilities in most places. And even the people who finally show symptoms can be contagious for up to two weeks before knowing it. In NYC a couple weeks ago, they traced over 130 positive cases and eight deaths to one asymptomatic dipshite in an office who did not close his doors. This is a small community I live in here on the island and we all know each other. A number of contractors and businesses here are ignoring the lockdown and are still working against the stay home order even though they are none of them essential services. All these guys here are the ones with the Trump signs in their front yards. And it is no surprise to me that the protesters are overwhelmingly right wingers and that they have Trump's support. The GOP has become the party of money and profit above anything else. It has been a long time since they have had the best interests of ordinary American people in any part of their true agenda. We now have the highest death rate in the World from this sodding virus, thanks to this selfish procrastination on our GOP-led administration's part. That .0104% doesn't sound like much to some but note that it is maybe four times the people lost in 9/11. Many thousands of our most vulnerable elderly and others with underlying conditions. We are not that hungry or broke yet as a nation, that we can justify significantly more deaths. And while it is very easy to heap blame on Trump himself, it is important to recall that the whole reason we are stuck with the idiot is because far too many Americans think just like him and have the same selfish, shallow values. If the selfish, childish, vindictive, egotistical moron is re-elected in November, it will be a reflection of what a majority of this country has become.

When dear leader says:

1. It's a manufactured hoax against him.
2. It is all under control.
3. "I TAKE ZERO RESPONSIBILITY"
4. Blames the governors for lack of fed support
5. Blames Obama, China, WHO
6. Then suggests they need to take up arms to liberate their people

Yeah, doesn't surprise me either.

To be clear, he never said the virus was a hoax. Check Snopes. He was referring to the democratic criticism of his handling of the crisis as their new "hoax" against him.

I don't place much blame at Obama's feet, but China and The WHO can S my B's. You don't blame China for this? Seriously? Whether it came from one of those shithole disease factory "wet markets" or leaked from a bio lab, it's squarely on them. Not to mention the pathetic coverup. The Communist party, as usual, is more important than their own citizens, or those of the world apparently. And the WHO was haplessly (or purposely?) complicit. They covered for China, parroting known lies that killed Americans. Utterly useless.

Why is no one pissed at the CDC? Why do they get a pass? "Centers for Disease Control and Prevention" my ass. To my untrained eye, they have neither controlled nor prevented a damn thing. We pay hundreds of doctors and other professionals to detect these problems and protect us from this very situation. For example, if we didn't have NEAR enough PPE, why the hell not? Whose job is that? Shouldn't at least one person in one of the sprawling buildings on the CDC campus be dedicated to ensuring (or recommending) that we have enough f**king $1.20 facemasks just in case shit hits the fan? If not, maybe that guy should exist.

And it's not because Trump cut their budget either...

Be sure to read to the bottom of the Snopes piece, if you care to.

He actually wanted to boost spending on infectious disease detection and prevention.

Any treebuzzers gotten a loan for your business?

The bulk of the money, SBA loans intended for any business with 500 or less employees, was gobbled up in part by restaurant and hotel chains... who were given an exemption to the limit on employees... and there is a $10 million dollar limit. Restaurant and hotel chains in Texas, for example, weasled around this by having multiple subsidiary chains all apply. Big business has close ties with banks, lawyers and accountants... this is key to actually getting the loans because they were already perched on the edge of their seats waiting for the funding to be approved. They were the first to apply and already understood the process, unlike anything resembling a real small business, who are more likely to rely on such services that are not familiar with the process (small banks, low budget legal firms, etc.) and who were not already geared up to grab the money and run.

Some of the "small" businesses that got approved had tens of millions of dollars in profits and over 5000 employees. They also had good lawyers and accountants, and good relationships with multiple banks. Many of them already had their businesses broken up into subsidiary companies, etc. which is paramount to effective tax avoidance. The PPP application process, involving private banks, was highly tuned to this exact scenario... where the "small" businesses that effectively dominated the process and received the bulk of the money so quickly were the first to get in line and the first to collect.

Then there is the mystery of how states like Texas got many times the amount of loans than California, which was much harder hit by Covid-19 than Texas and has a much larger economy and more people employed. North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma.. all with low Covid-19 impact and much lower populations somehow managed to get higher percentages of their loans approved than states that were devastated by the virus and have very large percentages of their population left unemployed, as a result. One group of states are all red, the other are all blue. If you don't smell a rat, then you may have Covid-19... your sense of smell is gone.

What it must be like to see things through MAGA glasses. Whose job is that? Guess it sure isn't dear leader's

1. Yes, you are right and that's my point. He painted the whole thing as a Democratic "hoax" while everyone, including the CDC, state department, Pentagon, and bipartisan congress were saying this thing is serious and we need to be prepared. At the same time he was saying it is no worse than the flu and everything was under control. All of his claims were bogus bullshit.

2. CDC Funding - he didn't cut funding, but he fired the CDC Pandemic response team in 2018 and proposed budget cuts every single year. He did a great job of cutting the head off the chicken. On top of that, he ignored all the warnings and reports that the shit was about to hit the fan.

3. China and WHO have their issues but that has nothing to do with how he has fumbled every ball in this game. In fact, he praised Xi 15 times from Jan to the end of Feb. Dear leader in Jan tweeted, "China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!".

As for the WHO, they offered tests that actually fing worked made by Germans and Trump said no thanks.

So, dear leader:

- dismissed and downplayed it as a democratic hoax.
- Loved China until March
- Dismantled the CDC pandemic response team and other heads at CDC that you wish were there to blame and has wanted to axe their funding all along.
- Continues to say and do the exact opposite of what the CDC recommends.

It's perfectly fine.. just grab your heavy armaments, your confederate flag and your MAGA hat and join the party in front of the governor's mansion. Cuz, freedom and stuff.

We watched the senate GOP sell their souls to his criminal azz....

Strange to hear any semblance of truth outta the orange idiot tho....
