I was looking to swap out the rigging plates in my onyx for something easier to clip into. Any suggestions?

Oh.. ok.. lol.. glad i could help ya out! This is exactly what I was looking for. That Japanese guy who climbs with the dual BDB’s I think has these on his saddle. Many thanks.

Lol.. i think every Japanese climber climbs with 2.. 2 of everything.. very hardware intensive climbing styles from the limited view I've seen.. i would get all sorts of jammed up trying to keep track of everything in front of me.. they definitely like the accessories.. (You ever see the trucking shows? Personally.. i want the one with there blasters on the roof!!)

I have a MB & right now I'm trying Petzl's adjustable bridge with it.. so I'm its utilizing rings at the moment in place of plates.. I tried 3 or 4 harnesses out before making a compromise & keeping the one I found most comfortable to hang in.. Within that compromise, I do wish they went with smaller webbing on the legs, just for compatibility with other hardware & i do not like how the fat webbing is just stuffed through the small holes on the rock-o plate.. something about that bugs me.. it looks unfinished like that.. That & a quicker rise adjustment.. something like the TM or Ergo with two tri-glides on top of each other.. i found adjusting those are way easier as well as reachable while wearing.. & lastly, storage.. they cold have easily added tight loop pockets around the entire saddle with the cost skyrocketing.. I really don't know why that wasn't incorporated into it... if not thought of by August & Joe, New Tribe could have mentioned it... there's really no reason i can think of for more cutouts not to be there.. at the very least, something on the legs to make use of the available area... Yes, its a fine saddle, it's very comfortable & all works fine, just little quirks i wish were different but can't change because they either sewn into the system or not at all... To be honest, if i could take the TM's optional storage capability, it's rise adjustment, its lower D's, the MB's suspension design, the padding & side D adjustment of the Ergo, into one design... i think the perfect saddle would be created.
Ha ha. The perfect saddle is already created. The TM........ Pop into a comp and count the climbers using them. Most of them are production climbers too.
G that is what I love a treemotion for the lower Ds....but the whole saddle is crazy comfy....Not so fast. There’s a difference between climbing a tree to ring some pretty bells and getting it limbs on the ground safely and efficiently. I like how the onyx is very light and you barely know it’s there. That being said, it could use a better bridge paw.
If you lack an ass you will need to use suspenders.I've been thinking hard about getting an Onyx. There's plenty of TM saddles out there. My question is how does the saddle feel with a lot of weight hanging from it? Impact blocks, 5/8" rope, rear handle saw. When you're wearing the saddle, are the plates really close to the leg loops and does that make it difficult to maintain an upright seated position?
Thanks!
Talking about the TM....I have a washboard ass and I do just fine.
Yep. Had em' all, and the TreeMo and the MCRS are the ones to beat for me! Love the Onyx and the MB, but there is something about the TreeMo and McRS that just fits my sexy, emaciated, crack smoking chicken ass!Ha ha. The perfect saddle is already created. The TM........
