I've been running it on Drenaline and like it, but Rock guys tell me it didn't test as well in the drop tests. Seems it slips sooner.Tell me:
Which climb line the Akimbo is going to like best?
Which rope you will try your new Akimbo on first?
I noticed the slipping on KM3 Max, another 32-strand kernmantle... was hoping the DrenaLINE might do a little better with the larger diameter. But, they both have a pretty slick cover. Right now I've got a ZigZag on the DrenaLINE and it doesn't seem to care about any of that, but it's in a DdRT config, too.
Might have to get a hank of Blue Moon.
Do they pull funds from you card when you pre-order one or do they bill you later when it ships?
Who doesn't?Depends who you order from.
Who doesn't?
We'll have to wear one out first I guess. Looks like some components could be sold separately if RE were so inclined, or ship it back and they rebuild it like the Uni.what is the dealio on replacement wear parts?
TreeStuff charged me.
Dang-it!Well there ya go.
I use that as well and add a ropewrench with reon rounds tether and it performs greatI noticed the slipping on KM3 Max, another 32-strand kernmantle... was hoping the DrenaLINE might do a little better with the larger diameter. "test well" means it doesnt meet the drop test requirements for the CE standard. they want to see a drop with the rated max working load, measure stopping distance, then add another 100kg without it slipping. What does 'test as well' mean? I like the idea of energy-dissipation from a slip with little rope in the system, like a canopy-anchor situation.
