So no first hand experience out there yet? I don't mean a demo but from someone using it at work regularly. I'm going for the climb til I can't retirement plan and see solo as a legitimate safe and profitable business plan. Shoulda done it from the start. But I could use a boost every now and then.
This company is disappointing me. All product exposure is just glamour shots. "Hey look at me going up!" We asked for a user review and got nothing. Makes me wonder if they are legit.
Bought it. Awesome kit. Check out my video of it.

Agreed. Extra safety line (not a bad thing really), saw looks too new, helmet & boots look brand new, and what kind of lanyard is that saw hanging on? The appearance of the skinny rope used to secure his position ... which didn't secure his position all that well ... appears amateur. May be a legitimate tree worker, but doesn't have the "right look" to me. And who makes such an ascent to remove one random limb? Plus, when I ascend, I either pull the saw up after I'm secured or it's clipped to my harness ... not dangling below me. I'm sticking with my Wraptor. Also the style and content of this video makes me wonder who produced it. Jeans. Camera angles. Music

Any affiliation with the manufacturer? Not a bad thing just curiousOk... The guy in the video is me. This is the first time I used the Ronin and as somebody who has worked in the Rope Access Field (level 3) and qualified arborist for 25 years.. I wanted to take precautions. So, I used a back up rope while I got used to the feel of the device (rope runner if you want to know on a New England 12.7m line).
Jeans - that was a bad choice on my behalf. I normally always wear Cloggers (even though it’s the USA...) but for this video (102F that day) I did not. My bad. Never again. The boots - yes brand new. Scaffels - Chainsaw arborist boots.
The lanyard, my normal one from weaver. The saw - yup brand new as my 020T is in the shop. Done me good for 20 years...
The video was kindly made by my friend and we put some music over it.
Why the video? I loved the Ronin and very much like the excellent staff who are trying their hardest to make a business great. I want to support them.
Happy to answer any other questions?

Cool. Then please accept my apologies. My comments were based on the video appearing like something the manufacturer had developed. And in a way, that's a compliment to your video recording talent. Good luck with that device.Ok... The guy in the video is me.

Hey fhudo I'm in Durham and would pay you for your time if I can demo it this week or weekend.
Can you bring it by my place after? I’d love a demo too!Would be happy to demo it. However, on vacation for three weeks (back on the 16th August).
I have a job (big tree takedown) on 18th between a chapel hill and Durham where I will use it; feel free to private message me and come and see and try!
