The scandere has an excellent feel in hand, seems a little more springy ,hardly noticeable, love how smooth they both are so as to pull over rough barked up anchor points, I use all natural red is 90 percent of the time so after going through a few that smooth cover is great. If I had to pick one I probably couldn't, both great . I use them in tandem quite often. I love the voyager as well. Using the voyager as my pine takedown line mostly now as I've whooped it up . It's a working man's line for sure, the diameter makes it slightly more difficult to squeeze through gate of quick link which is minor bother . I like the high strength of that ROPE makes for a good static feel. Scion blue reminds of tachyon personally. I use this ROPE the least probably because it got lost in the mix because more shit was coming out and I'm addicted to buying new climb lines to try. I have 200 feet that's hardly used , but it runs amazin in the BONE! View attachment 48523

Thanks for the replies, sounds like Scandere might be what I go with...

- I’ve used kmiii and it’s too thin for my hands even with gloves, if anything I want a little thicker than tachyon. I do like that the outer cover is super tough and doesn’t pick

- I have come to appreciate the bounce in tachyon, if anything as a bit of safety

- I’m the same with almost all redirects I use are natural
 
I really don't like thinner lines either. 11.5 is about as small as I go. I dig vortex in the summer when it's too hot for gloves or use two lines , thicken it up a bit . July and August in southern nj is like a freaking armpit hot nasty ass hott jungle sauna hell hole..
Rope bounce never really concerned me either, the high quality lines out now have a nice energy absorption while keeping a static feel just perfect. I'm very easy going though.. still blown away how good all ropes seem to be coming from 16 years ago tauntline hitched on true blue over a natural crotch. Every climb,every ROPE SRT with a bulldogg bone I feel like I'm living a dream since enduring that. The only thing better is having two at once. Dsrt4life!
 
Aaron, you think the scandere feels better in hand than The 24 strand yale 11.7’s

I may have to pick up this line also if you think it works well with the bone
 
Scandere rocks in mechanicals but doesn’t love the hitch based multiscenders, the XStatic/ Km III Max family loves the Wrench.

It's proved to be a very sweet line in the bone . As far as better hand than the24 strand 11.7s...I don't think that's possible ;)
Great line though , nice price.
I gotta try drenaline next..saw that on wesspur, good price on that too I thought..
 
Small add - Scion is a little bouncy and has a softer hand but it also flattens more easily in mechanicals than the Yale 11.7s do. Just started using the cBdB but so far it's sweet on Yale.
 
I did not make that custom teardrop, although I have tried two attach points there with two bypass links. You notice that he fastens the Bone loosely at the top tending point with the prussic on the standing side of the doubled line, that is crucial as it will self tend without it but it will not release. The regular Bone will self tend also this way with the loose prussic, just terminate the standing side back to the bridge.
 
He has lots of interesting photos on his Facebook page...appears to be tinkering daily. Also, lots of beautiful photos of the Japanese countryside, and the food he cooks on a wood burning stove looks fantastic!

Yes he's constantly uploading content. Like 2 3 vids a day. And most of it is his doing all this crazy tinkering, but some of it is him actually working - and alot of what he's doing seems incredibly unnecessary (waltz around his YouTube videos and you're bound to find an example). However he does have some interesting ideas and I appreciate his experimentation with different configurations and his curiosity in general.

Those are his modifications. His slack tending pulley was tried early on by myself and the consensus was it did not help appreciably, and was just extra fussiness to mess with and drop. My earlier OAR had three arms much like his pictured, but was approx. 1/3 heavier than the Bone.
