tree stuff, its been real....

I saw some Facebook posts that were related to christian fundamentalism. The beliefs of women being a subordinate gender compared to men. Blah blah blah. Sexist crap. I can't quote them as I usually skip any religious and political conversations

So looks like i should have ordered the replacement parts last week like I had planned. Crap.
Ok, @bonner1040 how do we get the replacement parts? Will treestuff be selling an “unofficial” replacement? Suitable cordage and rings? Bummer to invest in that saddle and learn that it might be on the outs

I think the first question to answer is .....are you a christian and whats your stance on the female role in society? Be careful how you answer....They might just cut you off too:)

I like my saddle and won’t touch the politics!

Edit: or religion

Im only kidding! If the product is good, and has people willing to pay for it....the someone will pick it up. Look how long Aerial Lift of Connecticut has been out of business. You can still get whatever you need for those machines. Same will be with this saddle.

I guess that depends on your perspective. Where and when does your climb begin? Are you only climbing when your feet have left the ground?... or are you climbing when you set a throw-line in the canopy....or maybe even earlier when you're doing your preliminary risk review of the tree and planning your strategy. At what point can you safely ab....I mean change your mind about whether you really want to climb that tree after all?

Looks like we are gonna learn to splice or pay for a custom kit. I don't frequent the splice rack but I've seen evidence of market service going on over there. ?

Haha I read you, I don’t even want to joke about joking about politics or religion in 2017 USA.

Sexist crap.

That's exactly what it is. It's also protected under the First Amendment, as is @bonner1040's right to not give the impression of condoning it, by dropping the MCRS. I happen to agree with him. But, I would have just introduced Matt to my wife. There are few things I enjoy more than watching her beat the crap out of somebody other than myself.
:rayos:

Just don't buy his shit if you feel like he's a d-bag

And that is exactly what they did! Sorry but a business entity is no different than you or I. They have the same rights we do, and as an entity, they decide not to buy his stuff. The problem is a$$hole$ like us infringe on that right by complaining publicly and saying they are wrong when a reasonable argument is made as to why.
I’m sure if it’s just rope and rings it will be resurrected by another supplier or even under another brand. Heck the basic rope saddle design was around 20 years ago, I think sold by wespur. It will be back if people want it back. I personally could care less.

I disagree with a few of you jeffgu he’s not an employ e of TS so it’s not against the law in this case. Just stupidity Reed. I like mine thank you!! Let us not forget the checkered past of a few folks who work for or produce items for treestuff. Isn’t it the same? This is on principal for me and I like the saddle so I’m biased. If I didn’t like the saddle I probably wouldn’t put so much energy into the whole dramatic scene. But I think it’s hypocritical. The pot is calling the kettle black in ethics, standards, personal behavior, and public image. So for me it’s more calling out the hypocrisy of the decision rather than standing up for Matt personally. Plus I like saddle so I’m pissed.
