Finally joined the crane gang..

I just noticed sj_treeguy has a front stabilizer as well. His setup seems short as well. What are other guys doing for counter weight?

The reason Iam trying to add weight to the rear of the truck so i can work off the front also. Hook lift would be awesome! But if the box is off i would lose the counter weight? Maybe i could add a custom rear bumper 3" thick? My truck is pretty short thus the need.
Keep in mind that you will have some weight with the hooklift frame, pumps, cylinders etc even without anything installed on the hook. But yes weight can easily be added (concrete box etc), and/or a front bumper outrigger

He told me, that he didn't have to add any weight to his truck due to the front outrigger and the weight of his dump (thick gauge metal)...full capacity at 360 degrees.

Sry last picture was of my eye to eye slings in the shipping box. They are reverse eye slings with a protective layers... I could only find them at a couple places online.

Where I got them - http://www.uscargocontrol.com/Lifti...ng-Reversed-Eye-3-inch-wide-6-feet-long-2-ply

If you are going with endless slings, you have a lot of places you can buy them.

Our International 4700 with a National N65A.
We use tow straps rated at 15,000 pounds, max crane lift is about 11k. Looking to get a hydraulic grapple in a few months, anyone know where they can be found?

The two manual pullouts on the PJ080 jib sure are nice... I wish my PJ100 had better manuals for it. Going from the last hydraulic section 1300lbs to the first (and only) manual 800lb is a heck of a drop, and doesn't make sense from a stability standpoint (the limiting factor is the manual's strength, not the crane's stability).

Hmm.. I was going to ask about the Manual pull out.

on my jib there's 3 hydraulic extensions and one that u pull out. I don't think i will need the Manual pull out often but figured i can leave it out and my limits are not affected if iam only using half length of the boom?

The manual pull out's capacity could be lower than the hydraulic sections. My pull out is used to hang the grapple saw, moves the tree further from the hydraulic tubing and such.
