Pfanner Protos

My head is also too big for the Protos. Which sucks because my crew consists of 2 Protos and my kask. There is one trick Pfanner told me to try, hold on I'll see if I can find the email.

I don't know if anyone from Pfanner is on here so maybe Nick can pass it on if he sees this @bonner1040 .

I wonder if you grabbed the wifes hair dryer could you heat the straps and stretch them a little longer?Possibly just relaxing them with heat might be enough to give some added size.

Just thinking outside the box, no idea what what type of plastic the straps are molded from. Moulded from in Europe I think is how they spell it.

I like mine for skull fit. Only problem is rust, and the ear muff hinges binding up. Then I go use it with minimal sound protection because only one muff is in contact with my head while the other is 2mm off my ear...

I got one as a gift and I hate it. I haven't heard anyone talk about this, what is the deal with the vertical honeycomb in the top? It seems like a really hard hit to the top of the helmet would core the scalp down to the skull. I have no idea why it would be oriented this way.

Was tipping my head into mine today and noticed that I couldn't see most of the honeycomb for the T shaped piece of 3/8 inch foam between it and my scull. Do you have that hand size piece of foam in there JeffOpar?

You recall that the instructions show how to adjust the tension of the muff on your head ?
That may help.

You know, a piece of straw will stick into a telephone pole in a tornado... :estudioso:

I've heard that, fascinating.

I was bored trimming away on Cypress trees today with hand shears. Into my head pops this guess that it would take a thousand pounds of force for the honeycomb to dice through that foam and start into a persons scalp. What would you randomly guess it would take?

Well rest easy fellas I took the protos off Andrews hands ! I have a fat head too I thought but fits me well! I'm waiting for the Sena's spare parts kit to arrive so I can install the radio. I ordered one for one of my other guys also but is on back order at TS!

I just had a similar problem with my RH muff not contacting my ear.
Remove the muff & spring mechanism by pushing the "PRESS" button. Pull it out.
Mine had a break in a very small plastic part near the spring system. Replacement parts should be available.
