TreeStuff and SherrillTree Join Forces

I'll take up that offer. I backed off from ST and shifted to TS when the customer service became mired in fine print and their private label products didn't stand up at all. Since the change in management, I'm willing to revisit them.

TS is still the go to because of their customer service and desire to live up to the spirit of a policy instead of the letter of it.

We as consumers will make the ultimate vote in time with our money - but we can shape the way forward. This "all or nothing" mentality and contempt prior to investigation does neither the supplier or buyer any good. Consumers have a responsibility too - Do we want to support martyrdom where a business dies from burnout and and unsustainability or do we want to encourage leadership to be champions who push the industry forward. I think there is a middle ground and way forward - reaching out for our commentary and inviting us to have input is bold and smart.

I'm sure you made some good points there, Jeff but... I have the attention span of a goldfish....

My goldfish took exception to having their attention spans compared to yours. They say that their attention spans are not that short. Just sayin'.

Tim

Edit: This is just a joke, no offense intended. You set it up, I knock it down. Standard Operating Procedure.

Good morning-

This post is an invitation to every person that has made a comment on this string since day 1, and prior to this one. You are each invited to visit Sherrill Tree in Greensboro to get to know our team and let us show you that we’re not operating in some ivory tower.

Many seem convinced that you know exactly how the future is going to go with TreeStuff & Sherrill...the comments have occasionally been pretty brutal. I’d love the chance to host all of you, as a group, at our place, so the team and I can introduce ourselves, show you around and let you in on our plans.

You are a passionate group and we are too. Let us share the products, brands, services and other projects that we’re working on. I’m interested in sharing it all with you guys…”open kimono”.

Your travel, lodging, dining and food/drink expenses will be 100% covered by the company with no strings attached.

A lot has changed at Sherrill in the last couple of years and it seems that many are judging us on experiences before then. Will you give us a chance to earn your partnership, trust and maybe even a chance friendship? Want to meet Sean, Brandon and see what we're all about? Send me an email and we’ll start coordinating now. I don’t have this fully planned out, but we can figure that out later.

No bullshit. My email address is tripp@sherrilltree.com All are welcome. Who’s in?

Thanks, Tripp
Tripp I replied already, but not directly to you, I'm from north of the border and I know there's a few of us or a bunch of us from Canada going down to the tree expo in Baltimore and we'd be close already to take you up on your offer ! Is that too far down the road ? We can also help you or give you some insight on how to help the Vermeer dealers up here operate your branches better, and it get hosed every time we want to buy some gear there.

The link/e-mail address is not working for me.

The link/e-mail address is not working for me.

Treezybreez is correct, the link is not working. It's weird, the email address displayed is correct (@sherrilltree.com), but if you mouse-over the link you'll see it's wrong (@sherrill.com). No idea how that happens, but if you want to email Tripp, make sure the address is @sherrilltree.com.

I'll text him and see if he can fix it.

Thanks for the correct email.

Update on the "Greensboro Gathering"

I have received quite a few emails at my Tripp@sherrilltree.com address over the weekend. If you are 'in' for joining us please be sure to send me a quick note at that address so I can connect with everyone directly. If you only comment in the buzz, I won't have you on the list.

No offense to the Canadians, but I'm working on pulling this together for mid to late September sometime after the Sacramento Arborfest. I just don't want to push it so far out.

Have a good week and stay tuned for more details.

Tripp

I have thought about your generous offer and, as excited as I am, I have decided that you don't owe me anything. You have been more than fair even without this incredibly awesome opportunity, and you have demonstrated your commitment to serving us and improving upon wherever there have been issues in the past. Your attitude and personable character seems to be exactly what Sherrilltree needed. Your integrity will easily create an environment where people can once again trust Sherrilltree has their best interests at heart and are willing to go the extra mile to make the customer feel appreciated and important. Thank you for your offer...it is the thought that counts for me, and as I said before, I look forward to getting to know you.
But, do anything to hurt TreeStuff and I will egg your house...;)

Sounds like it will be a tremendously successful event! Thank you for your invitation.
