Swing, I hear ya. Maybe I should Reintroduce myself to it in my new saddle. It'll be hard for me to change a habit that's come 2nd nature to me for the past 15yrs. It,s definitely nice to use with a green groundie when something needs to ride.

So there is a reason there are so many TM.... But they also have more market time....
Yes, with an almost 10 year head start it is not surprising that they are more plentiful. I personally would still be climbing on the TM if I had not had the chance to climb on the MCRS. Rugged, simple and even more supportive than the TM and affording even better freedom of movement. It is easier to hang lots of stuff off the TM but that is not something that I need.
Nice Swing, I like it. I climbed a box elder today in my new saddle. I've been using a locking biner from saddle to a ladder safety hook for years. I gutted the safety lock making it easy and fast to manipulate. Works well with a saw ring or rear handle on any saw. Only drawback is it requires two hands. I have some tuning to do on the saddle though ultimately I'm very satisfied with the ride. It started down pouring rain but I refused to hit the ground. Only needed another half hour to finish, and it was all free drops at that point. I plan to switch out the lanyard positioning rings with some stainless steel ones. Make it a little easier to identify them and also more wear resistant. I use a cable lanyard with steel swivel snaps most of the time.I use a breakaway from buckingham set close to my saw....hate my saw dangling low...with the way I have it and the shembiner it is a one hand on /off....View attachment 38093
Its all good dude. Your input on the TM is most valuable with the time you have spent in it. Especially to JustinK. What you use on your saddle is also good info. At least, I like to hear what you have to share.I want to state here I have never seen or climbed on a MCRS...so cannot form an opinion...many love the saddle...I climb on a TM and have done so for years....so really don't want to mislead anyone here with my silly comments...
My MCRS came with a replacement bridge and I was considering running them both but I decided it would just be another obstacle when getting in it. The leg straps are a little bit of a PITA as it is.Is anyone running dual bridges on either saddle or figured out a bridge adjuster like we do on the Onyx?
Yeah, just like the saddle that inspired the MCRS there is no graceful way to put it on.My MCRS came with a replacement bridge and I was considering running them both but I decided it would just be another obstacle when getting in it. The leg straps are a little bit of a PITA as it is.
I guess that's a huge advancement compared too my ass strap saddle .... easy and quick to put on and uncomfortable to ride. Anyone remember the swiss seat saddle from about 12' of rope? It would be handy to know in an emergency. I was in grade school the last time I tied one.Yeah, just like the saddle that inspired the MCRS there is no graceful way to put it on.
French bowline with a long tail for a tautline or Blake's hitch=emergency saddle. Not any fun at all. Everyone should try one once in a while to keep us humble.I guess that's a huge advancement compared too my ass strap saddle .... easy and quick to put on and uncomfortable to ride.
