Components of a Self-Advancing Knee Ascender (SAKA)

40+15=65
I like your math. ;-) I'll have to go back and listen, maybe I said 50.
anyway I think it would be reasonable for 55 dollars to have everything assembled so all you have to do is the final attachment of your ascender. or just send me your chest ascender and I'll put it all together.
Yes PM me.

Richard, your bungee at the top is girth hitched with a loop around the little biner...how do you plan on adjustment for different length? Tying and re-tying the stopper knots?

Hey Mike,
I guess I could have mentioned that. Seems everyone has to fuss with the length of the bungees to get it right, figure out where they want to connect it, then adjust it and do that several times to get it dialed in just right. Then if something in their system changes they have to do it again.
This is what is great about having such easy access to the bungee, besides being able to replace it so easily if it breaks and when it wears out.
So here is how I do it.
First just loop it over the small carabiner, try the length out, adjust the bungee at the base with a small slip knot. The bungee looped over the small biner will just self adjust.
Do this until you find the exact place you want to put the bungee and you have the length exactly how you like it.
Then girth hitch it to keep it in place and trim off the excess bungee for a clean install.
This bungee is strong enough and stretches enough I find I can clip it into places close to the top of the SAKA that I could not before.

Great design and production Richard! I learned some nice sewing tricks watching your video, seems obvious but I'd never tacked anything down with glue before sewing, really makes certain moves much easier! Thx, -AJ

Well Andrew, you are my hero and great mentor, you probably don't know how many people you influence for good and learning, do you.
Anyway, you are welcome, glad to know I returned just a small part of everything you have guided me in.
Wish you were going to the rendezvous this year but I understand.
Later
