Out 'N' About is a resort in Oregon where guests stay in a dozen or more treehouses. They have indoor plumbing, decks, refrigerators, 1-3 bedrooms, and a great view.

It is also the location of the World Treehouse Association Conference, an October gathering of treehouse construction contractors and hobbyists from around the world.

I'll be conducting the rigging workshop. Be there, or be square!

I have always done ziplines with a longer tether so it is impossible to catch fingers and hair in the pulley. This is because I have seen the results of that first hand. Even after people have been warned.

Roger that...not with a zip line, but I have seen it happen in rappelling...had a girl not put her long brown hair up out of the way properly. Her hair fed right into the biner wrap (old days, no figure eights, etc. then). She was trapped until her hair was freed from the biner...not a happy camper!

We also always used a double rope rappel (and still do). We had a fellow (about 40 feet up) get his shirt caught in the biner wrap. While the Rangers were deciding how to extricate the fellow, Mr. Ghetto whipped out a BIG knife and cut his shirt free...he also cut his rappel rope. The second rope saved him...at least from falling. The Rangers were waiting for him when he dared to come on down.
