Yer Rigs

I made some changes to the back, by removing the roll down curtain and adding a folding panel so we can see out the back. Once on site you just pull the end of the fly rope and close the gap. Notice the old petzl basic ascender at the bottom to hold the rope tight. Good use for old kit, and the best use for fly rope I've found yet!!

The new chipper is more powerful so I had a lot of dust blowing back out. I added vents in the roof and that has solved the problem. (no pics) I still intend to get white plastic boards to cover the plywood as I know it looks like cr*p Function over beauty, for now anyway.

Tophopper I hopped over from the tree free zone, I don't think this has got much to do with chainsaw petrol.

How do you like this little chipperpuller I had (won in it's glorydays a couple of Paris-Dakars)..... but not this one it didn't /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Know what it is?

No, 1 red rig after 3weeks leave-permit driving from bosnia to netherlands and back. Driving uphill braking in very wet wether with oil on the road sliding out a corner upon on a mercedes truck going downhill. I was going 60km/h /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif and peeking in the centre poster from the playboy at the co-drivers lap. /forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forum/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forum/images/graemlins/ahhhhh.gif

number 2 in winter time wacked the side panels against some steep mountain side next the road slipping on ice and doing some 360's. I couldnt tell from what way i came after i stopped /forum/images/graemlins/crazy.gif After some time and give my heart a brake i remembered i drove with moutain on left side and valley right side. When i looked out i peeked into the valley on left. Wheels were at 10 cm's from the edge..... I had to drive about 5 klicks back before i could turn again so a narrow road....

i was young and ignorant at that time i quess.

That little scrapheap cost me 1.300 euro's to buy and during the 1,5 years I had it, it cost me 3.500 more to keep it on the road (talk about value for money).
Never had more FUN with a car than that one.

Sold the bugger and after more than one year I met the friend of the guy I sold it to. Know what he told me???

Great car, my friend had no problems with it what so ever. Auch.

AHHH Old timer pic from a logging tractor we had in the past.

A bucher (austria or swiss made) 4x4 tractor on 15"wheels 3 speed and low/high gear. 4 cilinder diesel. PTO right middle side. We bought it as 'scrap', only axles, transmission, engine. We rebuild it with a homemade cab, PTO driven hydrolics, hydrolic winch, system flatbed (plain bed and also as shown in pic a turnable log rack for long logs), and a watertank.

Here we are transporting a 15 meter dead oak, 25 km trip to the mill.

/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif Tophopper,

The thread fron Ryan in the Overflow/chainsaws and such (not the tree free zone, my mistake, sorry) started out as a gas thread, but after Ronald and I started talking about veggy oil and cars it occured to me that I was abusing the patrol thread by rigs.

So my next post on that thread was a diversion to this one and on this one a post as a reply on your post over there:

I think we are here in the right place to go on now (with our rigs).

Is that a fordson 6 cylinder? Looks in pretty good shape to me, better than most of the ones I've seen on the roads in your area!

Truck looks good too, not dents or rust! Remember if you want to lose the spare wheel, I can get you a nice locking box that will fit there and will carry three 20L jerry cans plus oils and other nasties that you don't want in the cab or the back.

You don't need a spare wheel anyway! If you get one flat at the back you can still drive and one flat at the front you just steal one off the back! Works a treat!

Nice to finally meet you last weekend, hope you enjoyed the show.

yep good show, good to meet you too.
i might be interested in the tool box
the tractors a david brown 1200 selectamatic. its not in bad shape really, just the bodywork is in much need of sorting, but that will blast down and spray up pretty easy, need to replace the wheel arches though.
cant make it to the comp on the saturday by the way....its the little ones 2nd birthday, but i hope to pop out on the sunday and see what its all about
