Yale Prism

I am trying to eye splice yale prism and I am having a hard time. Should I be following a class 1 splicing or 2 ?

Class 1 is correct. Prism has the "tite braid" cover which can make them a little challenging.

I just spliced a few tight eyes in some Prism and had to work for some of them, it shouldnt be impossibly tight though.

I've found a large (7/8) fid inside the eye is easy to "snap" the rope with and get some movement

Taper your cover before pulling it through.

I throw a couple quick stitches in the crossover too. Seems to help the eye from bunching during the final bury
