My only complaint about buckets I'd that they also hold moisture in....I've been using 5-gallon buckets with lids from Ace Hardware ... about $7 or $8 each. Can easily get 200' of 1/2" Arbormaster in one, and the lids keep my ropes dry when riding in my pickup bed. I admit I do own a few purpose-made rope bags for some larger rigging ropes.
True that. Never ride mine hard & stow 'em wet. Being a part-time hack, I don't have to climb in the rain & choose not to. But when I do get caught in the rain, there are some bars in my garage over which I drape my ropes to dry.My only complaint about buckets I'd that they also hold moisture in....
