I wouldn't do it but I applaud those that do.

Holly would do it.

Probably wouldn't be as compassionate as those guys though.

And I don't think he would need to be paid.

But that's Holly.

copy that. But Eric and crew were hired by the lumber company (no doubt Pacific has been involved in many bad timber practices) to do a job. They did it.

So...... I tryed to look for the recruting station for that and could not find it. But i tell ya what i am right there with Holle, swing at me please, give me a reason to do harm to people preventing others from doing there job. For that matter are attempting to do harm to rescuers.

Whether you like their practices or not, tree-sitters have caused some true change in forestry practices on the west coast for the good.

I don't like to see anyone out of a job, but I'd also like to know that children 100 years from now will be able to see old-growth forests for themselves.

I don't know the details of the situation in the video, but I'll bet that some large corporation was benefiting in a bigger way than the working man did in the harvesting of those trees.

So no, I wouldn't do it for the right money.

Never in a million years, not because of the political/ethical issues, purely because its incredibly dangerous for the climber doing the extraction.

The whole video was such a stupid mess, a total disaster in diplomacy and a perfect example of dumbheadedness by all the parties involved......pathetic.....the whole damn lot of them, Oxman and whoever the hell else was involved in this debacle should be hauled over hot coals for their stupidity in getting drawn into the ill-concieved idea that extracting tree-sitters is somehow worthwhile financially.

.

I would never do it. I would train the tree sitter to climb arbo style though, should relive the safety issue.
