It looked like a nice gentle ride. Enough shake to say yehaw but not enough to yell at someone. Good stuff Erik

Wow Ben, that is some nice work there. I really like the second one. You keep getting better and better. Pretty soon you'll be hanging up your saws and earning your money with your camera

Hell yeah Ben
nice re-toppingSignificant crown dieback.
Filled the truck with chips. Going two doors down to my original customers.
Two pickup truck loads, loaded by a friend with a firewood addiction.
Give some firewood away.
Horde burls and figured wood.
Not as dark as it looked, but using all available daylight.
Buy a Chainsaw Mill. Easy to carry into the back yard and set up. You’ve gotta cut the wood one way or another...you can cut rounds and figure out where to dump them, or you can cut slabs and figure out who to sell them to! Until you get a means of handling heavy material, a Chainsaw Mill is an affordable purchase.I hate dealing with the big wood bottoms, I don't have any equipment yet to assist, so it's a lot of cutting and chucking. That Silver in my post above is pretty big in the somewhat small section I do have to take out, about 50" and I have to take about 6' of it or so, plus I have to leave then a level shelf for their plans. Lol
Have been thinking of this, are they fairly simple to use and set up. We certainly have a big enough saw, and can just get ripping chain.Buy a Chainsaw Mill. They’re a bit finicky if the chain isn’t really sharp and even. I’ve been having good results with a skip chisel chain. The first filing required I bring the faces square.Have been thinking of this, are they fairly simple to use and set up. We certainly have a big enough saw, and can just get ripping chain.
