At least (for the homeowner) it looks like it missed the main house structure. Window, deck and cantilevered portion of the gable roof, yes, but that's all relatively easy. I know a lot of people that live in fear of a large tulip failure such as this.

It does look like it missed most of the structural elements of the house. The difficulty was in the small driveway (and of course large crane) and 102' to the farthest piece. Not to mention the steep slope from the house back (no mini skid access).
It took 2 hrs to wiggle the crane in and get it up on the blocks. And rolled out right around 6pm. We also took 6 other "problem" trees while set up and picking.

Here's part of my job today. Two of the neighbors trees broke off and hung up in another tree. Both hanging over a privacy fence and a chainlink fence. Not big trees but fun to rig, lift and clear the fence .

Pruning a wide spread honey locust and having tooooo much fun. Obsessed with my mobility with my BDB and hitch climber setting up for progressing out to the ends of other leads and double crotchin' to go wherever I wanna go.

People going down the Falmouth bike path were probably curious if I was working and singing or playing and singing.

.....The singing part was likely obvious....

Easter morning cat rescue. Owner wanted me out there when the sun came up to get her kitty out of the tree. No blood spilled and a happy kitty on the ground floor.

Between the storm damage and cats we found time to plant 46 cherry laurels, 31 green giant arbs, a red maple and Norway spruce.

Got 15 more laurels when the come in and another red maple to go!

Tried to get bucket into field to do tree so I wouldn't have to take down fence but that didn't work I sunk it in the mud. So after farmer pulled me out with his tractor the fence went down. I was to pissed off to think about taking a pic of that feasco.

Did you get away with it or find hardware in that tree? I was not lucky today as the sharpest metal detector in town found a surveying nail placed 20 years ago.

Not one got lucky and I did put a new chain on and we all know what happens when we do that bam hit something in tree.

It works well I see top Knotch has a BMG with hydraulic rotation I think it would help but you'd need another switch for rotation.

Got a before and after on that prune? Just curious. Looks like a beautiful specimen. I'm gonna guess a white oak but I could be wrong.
