I'm not sure if it's an actual memory or a drug induced flashback, but I swear that @JD3000 and I lured three circus midgets, a couple of hookers and a wood nymph into the back of that thing for a Mazola Oil party back in.... no, no... it must have been some other hippy van. I would have remembered a unicorn.

Does anybody still make real maple syrup, Jason? I thought it was a dying artform. That crap from the grocery stores is just "maple flavored" corn syrup. I read somewhere that the so-called "maple" flavoring doesn't involve any actual maple trees. I had an uncle who lived in Vermont that used to send us the real thing, back in the day. He died and my supply dried up. I don't think I've had any real maple syrup in more than 20 years.

There was almost no syrup season in ny this year I make about a gallon on the stove every coupple years usually takes that long to use it.... Unless you start drinking it straight up ..... Shits like crack

Yeah I heard it was bad for syrup with the weird warm winter.

Yes it's still made but is also pretty damn expensive. Secret is to buy it in the country in crappy looking containers that look like they may have previously used in meth production or or home mutagen experiments. That's the good stuff and usually less $$$ than store bought.

Jeff my old van had a shirtless 80s Hasselhoff wrestling a puma on it so you werent too far off. Also pictures of magic mushrooms and small smurf-like creatures chaising Scooby Doo painted on it too. No unicorn I'm afraid. One of those trips where the motel room damage bills came back to bite me on the arse.

I have 3 places right close to me that does, one of my friends dad who has been at it for over 45 years has won the national title several times ( don't even ask how they judge ) now he's taking it over. I'd mail ya some but shipping would be a deal breaker !

My father in-law still makes maple syrup, and if I remember correctly @ROYCE does too. I think he even butter ups some of his better customers with a little jar of it.

Oh lawdy he got the Sugar.

It really is significantly better than Log Cabin and it's ilk. I remember going as a small kid to the sugar shacks to get fresh made maple candy and whatnot. Can't beat it on pancakes and waffles. Good topping on vanilla icecream too.

Wrongfully cut trees. About 64 all together. One day down plenty more to go. Gonna run cable and rigging today to snatch some out.. What a disaster.
