Can you winterize a 441 I have 2 that run like crap in the cold

i don't know if you can do it with your saw but I know some of the stihls have a carb heater maybe you can buy one and install it on your saw.

On the right side of the saw, just in front of the switch for the handlebar heat, there is a little black plasic thingie with a screw head in the left side and a slot in the right side.
Loosen the screw, stick your screwdriver into the slot and turn the plastic plate as far to the right as it'll go. Tighten the screw.
Presto! You are winterized!
You have turned a little damper and let hot air from the engine into your carb. Remember to reverse the process when spring comes around.

Heated handles or not, the 441 has the device that Stig mentioned. Change it over when the temp goes below freezing. Makes a big difference on my saw.
