Why did you choose Arboriculture?

I was sitting there with a degree in multimedia trying to make a packet of crisps dance for some design agency thinking this is not what i want to do. Sat back and thought that climbing trees was what I wanted to be doing and here I am.

I did aye. Finished it in 2002.

I didn't know the first thing about trees, let alone a proper pruning cut. A good friend of mine that I knew asked me if I wanted to climb trees for him. He offered me more money than what I made at the time so I figured what the hell sounds like fun! I have have to say that deadwooding an oak 100 feet off the ground standing in the very top of it in good wind is an expierence I could have never imagined. I have only been climbing for about a year and still have alot to learn about rigging but I have gotten plenty of practice at deadwooding.
