Who makes this rope snap?

Hey friends. I have been using this rope snap that I got off a petzl grillon lanyard set up a long time ago. Does anyone know who makes the snap and where to find them? All the markings are rubbed off, but I have always liked these snaps and would love to grab another.

Steel Version

Aluminum Version

That basic design has been manufactured by everyone... MSA, Yoke, ClimbRight... tons of clones, too.
They're very easy to find on feeBay for very cheap. They're all rated for 5000 lbs. as near as I can tell (at least the ones that I've bought) and I've never had any of them fail or not work correctly. Even the cheapest Chinese ones seem fine. I have used them for rigging, too, and have never broken one. I even have one of the steel ones on the end of my winch cable.

Yea the aluminum one you posted is similar for sure. I have found the knock offs as well, just not the one I'm looking for I guess. Just wondering who makes the one specifically on that petzl lanyard (for some reason I feel its CT).

I guess it's kind of a trust thing, Jeff. I have tried all sorts of different snaps but have been going back to that same one for 12 years now. She's old

Might check out some of the MSA's you linked if I can't find it though. Thank you for the link

Yeah, I always end up just searching and searching until I find the one I want, or happen to see something I'm willing to try. I always find some use for stuff.
You get used to the feel of something like that, and something different just seems to take forever to get comfortable with. Especially winging it around a stem. If the weight and balance is different, it throws your whole game off. Good luck with your search, I'm sure you'll spot it somewhere. Try Amazon, too.
