who do you work for?

I worked for them back around '79, trimming telephone lines. PITA trimming, for sure.

I worked for Lewis Tree Service, Division 20 Southern New England, for a year for the United Illuminating Company in Southern Connecticut, which was great, and also on a municipal contract, which was horrible. Good safety program and incentives, and I was union (IBEW Local 42), but lack of equipment maintenance and poor management in my division drove me to leave. I hear that has since changed.

Maybe if Asplundh decides to enter the Norwegian market... Currently I´m working for my own company, Hogst og Rydding AS, with muncipal sevice lines and 22kV feeder lines.

Directly for utility company. Great setup, good benefits, lots of snow, and all the regular BS that goes along working for a utility company.

+1

maybe not as much snow.

I spent a summer working for Shade Tree Service Company in Southwest WI. Trimmed for Alliant Energy. Distribution lines only, no transmission.

Prior to 9-11 I worked for Southern Pine Electric CO-OP, in Ms. Worked my way up through the ropes as a ROW guy( groundman, apprentice climber, aerial bucket trimmer) then when the union decided it didn't want to stand behind the ROW, I moved over to a line crew, where I learned to really respect the "power". As I am coming back from deployment, I am hoping to put all efforts behind our family tree business, both tree farming and Tree Care company. Lots of years working the trees, but no special schooling- other than what I have learned from past experience and what my predecessors have taught me regarding the care of trees.

I worked for Asplundh 25 years ago. It was kinda fun, I liked the shirts.

I worked for them as well, and hated every second of it....... for 12 years.
