White Pine Completely Brown

What would cause a white pine to go completely brown over a couple months?

Likely a root issue. Maybe biotic maybe Abiotic

Yes, drowning is one hypothesis worth checking out. Like white oaks, they can die from summer flooding, however brief.

The tree is in an elevated bed? That was my first thought as well. The needles are slightly smaller than the other points on the property as well.

What would cause a white pine to go completely brown over a couple months?

Look into pine wilt disease caused by nematodes vectored by long horned beetles and likely exasperated by bark beetles that carry some stain fungi that may or may not also clog bascular diseases.
Poor drainage and root rots are also problematic on white pines here in central Ohio.
