Where did it come from?

While walking in the woods behind my house I ran into a bush/tree that I never saw before. Turned out to be what I believe to be a Red Buckeye. Now that I know what I am looking at it seems to be invasive. Questions? Is it possible to have it grow this far north(research says only to about Virginia) and is it invasive? When I talk to folks about this not many have seen it.

No Aesculus is invasive thAT i KNOW OF.

Post a pic on the tree ID forum; those guys'll pick it out.

When I lived in Olympia, WA horsechesnut was naturalizing in wooded areas. Being a non native I'd say it won't be long before it's listed as an invasive plant in the PNW.
