When should i retire a rope?

Jk there’s a thousand factors. Depends on your system, what type of trees, how much care you take with storage, if you use a friction saver , etc. Then there is damage from ascenders, hand saw nicks, spiking the rope, exposure to contaminants, and or any other accidental contact. If it’s taken care of well I switch them up each year but that’s not to say they can’t last longer. Money well spent when it comes to climbing lines. Plus you can make shorter climbing lines with them, have a pine line or rain line and can switch them completely to rigging... where in Montgomery county are you?
