Some people are just "wheedlers". "We need to lion tail this (neighbour's) cherry tree because (after ten years) my dog (suddenly) started eating cherries that fall down". The magic dividing line perfectly vertically falling leaves syndrome. "School is starting and i suddenly have a deadline to make this tree out with no permit" Pet peeve of mine is neighbour lion trailers. They'll wreck their yard and brow beat the neighbours to do it too. One guy pressured a falling health diabetic to wreck his spreading maple 6 months before he passed away. Another guy pressured an 80 year old to lion tail a spreading oak that had about 30 years of "don't fuck it up" arborist gentle treatment including 20 years by me.
Or "I have a property x miles away in another town too. I can give you that job if you give me a good price on this job" - the worker gullibility test
It goes against politeness and good nature, but don't enable these people. If their bs gets results it encourages more such behaviour.
