Re: What\'s With the \"Search\" Feature
Now that I can do! It's annoying, to be sure, but not more annoying to me than browsing the site that way in the first place.
I go to http://www.treebuzz.com/forum/ubbthreads.php and for each forum I follow (not all of them) which has new posts, I middle-click the forum link, which opens that forum listing in a new tab. Then I go to the far right tab and for each new post/thread, I middle click except for the last, which gets the left button on it.
Scroll-wheel up one notch with the mouse on the tab bar to get to the previous forum list, lather, rinse, repeat.
Then I go through the tabs one at a time, deleting them if I don't want to reply or do anything further with them.
Being on a modem, I can thereby get all the new posts I want to see coming in in the background while I'm reading the earlier ones.
That "show me all the new posts from the X hours" search interface is much less usable/informative, IMO.
