Yes,
We're actually working, well most of us, we are under a union so some work more than others. But, yes, we do tree work, chainsaws, chippers, trucks, high reaches, cranes. There are other maintenance workers that make as much or more noise all over. This property is large(40 square miles) so the areas that our shift works are away from sleeping people. The property also has it's own municipality so cops aren't a problem.

I can't really say where it is but everyone has heard of it and it is near where the geezer climb was held.

I usually wake up at about 7:40, and at work at 8:00. I have Dunkin Donuts on my block (250 steps from my front door). The office is a 1 mile drive (about 2000 ft. as the crow flies). If my street went through Rt. 1&9 and over the Rahway River it would be the same street the office is on. I guess this makes up for the longer commutes throughout my career.

Wake up at 6:00am and start work at 7:30 or 8:00 depending on where I'm working.

start at 730, end at 530, we do 4 ten hour days, that way we have off friday saturday and sunday, real nice to have that extra day to relax and let the body heal up, or, if we are really busy like now, we use friday as an extra day and everyone gets paid time and a half, been working 5 days a week for a couple of weeks now,

the best part about this is that if it does rain on a usual work day, we can call it a day and make up the time on friday, we always have 40 hour work weeks, all year long

FamilyTree: i really like that idea, I'm a big fan of having my weekends to myself and having Friday would be awesome but we start work at 7:00 and end when ever our work is done anywhere from 3:30 to 7:00 if need be.

a constant work schedule is nice because you can plan your day out efficently, dont get me wrong, we work longer days as well when needed, but we usually make our quota and then some in that ten hour time span, and, having three days off is nice to do side work and make some real nice money. also, if we do get done early, my boss covers us for the whole day, that way everyone is happy, he gets his money, and we get an early day here and there

I've always felt that companies that have set work schedules is the mark of a very professional business owner. The best people I've worked for start work and end work at the same time each day.

As for ten hour days, I wonder how safe it is to work that many hours in a day considering the type of work being done. Loggers are legally only allowed to work six hours, and for good reason IMO.
