what should be expected

Keep climber safe

Keep site tidy

Keep climbers day as easy and efficient as possible

The climber should do the same for the grounds man both jobs are equally important and that's just good team work, in my books.

Brute strength, speed, safety conscious, and a willingness to learn about rigging.

Brute strength is good but your body does have cycles to failure so smart about moving material efficiently is good.

Some of our groundies are solid workers and good guys but have zero interest in climbing or being in the tree. They're happy with there job.

To be onto enough stuff to keep you from being busted out of a top of a tree.
o_O Mind elaborating on that?

A good ground guy should anticipate your will and start tasks without being told. If your client tips you because of excellent clean up, then you know you have a good ground guy.

Let the line run through the porty as it should.
