What options are there for mats that are heavier duty than alturna mats?

Bit of sidetrack, would alturnatmats be sufficient for a 16yd dump truck to drive over a septic line (house to tank 6”? PVC) about 6” below grade in sand? Or something bigger like above options?

Is this going to be the long term driving path?

Regardless of grade? Meaning on level ground the top of the tank is more than 3’ underground? That must suck to dig out for the access cap.

Yep just dug mine out last year for the honey wagon. Some folks install an access hatch. I should also note mine is a traditional gravity septic system and not an engineered above grade system.

Would a short-span timber or steel bridge with a textured top work?

Railroad track, I-beam, channel steel for support. ???


Does it need to only be functional, or also attractive?


I'm leaving toward something of this nature, cut from a big chainsaw or bandsaw milled timber.

I could test the strength in a non critical area. I have gravel to move in a trailer to a large fire pit.
