What has everyone used to pull small brush/trees?

Would it be practical to hitch a bunch of little trees to a rope and pull with some power source where one tree gets pulled free before the next loaded up.

Manual works, but a power winch/ capstan is a help and can pile things up in an area to ease disposal.

we have both an extractigator and puller bear at work and ive used both to rip up small stands of honeysuckle, small trees and even large taprooted weeds like burdock. on a versus comparison, the extractigator is a smaller lever with a smaller jaw but the jaws themselves seem sturdier than the puller bear as theyre solid welded plates. the puller bear holds bigger material and gives you more mechanical advantage but the way the jaw is constructed has always made me a little nervous. this is our second which has been going strong since 2019, i broke the previous one in 2015 trying to pull out an ash tree that was too big for it and our diy repair at the time didnt hold so it got scrapped. another nice thing about the puller bear design is the base plates are pre-drilled so you can screw on a 2x4 block at the fulcrum point, keeps the tool from sinking into soft soil.

its tiring work but if the soil is soft one person can make a big pile of material in just a couple hours. most of our honeysuckle are on woodland edges with pretty loamy ground so if you get to it after a rain pulling is pretty easy. just always pull the lever to the side of your body and keep your fingers up and out of the way when pressing down to ensure you go home with all your teeth and digits intact

@bobs yeruncle - Thanx! this is exctly the ffeedback I was looking for. Leaning toward the Puller Bear since it takes a variety of sizes and seems a bit more rugged. Not sure if my guy will be able to pull over a 3" sapling tho!
It is a bit more spendy...
