What are the best boots to climb in Spurs

What did you hit them with hopefully just a log which resulted in a drill bit not a saw that resulted in a doc.
About 10 inch willow log. Spear cut and it hit a stub and landed on my foot. I think it broke my big toe nail. Super light stuff.

I fear I may have mislead you guys I do not want or expect the toe to provide any amount of saw protection. Simply log /heavy item protection. These will be climbing boots so I am not sure if I want the added weight or risk of discomfort.

Highliners for sure. Baileys makes a reasonable pair for $260, not quite Westco but decent. Tall boots protect your lower leg from a gaff out and keep the saw dust out. When ever I do even a small removal in low boots the saw dust piles up in them, makes me crazy. I know some low boots have gaiters but the saw dust still gets in. Once on the ground I change into me groundie boots.

My Viberg 75 X Lineman CSA are fine. Due to the way that the extra leather flap abutts the toothed metal cam, they do not mix well with a strapped-on foot ascender - use the ascenders that attach to the spike.

There are so many good answers to this popular question, and it's almost impossible to rigorously test all of these boots against each other, on the same feet, much less your own feet.
