Western Tree Work

Steve Connally

Been here much more than a while
I go to Wyoming and work as a cook/guide in a hunting camp every fall. We are 20 miles into the Bridger-Teton national forest outside Jackson Hole. In these pics I had to use Horse tac to rig and place a mead pole in the camp to keep the bears off the meat. Also there is no power and all the heat comes from the lodgepole pines we fell and burn. All the logs are skidded into the camp using the biggest horse. I hope you dont kill me for the safety stuff. I am tied in useing my life belt which is all I had there. Enjoy.

Arborcare1,
Thanks for the pics. I've always wanted to go on a hunt like that. For now turkey and deer will have to do for my big game hunts.
