Is there any life left in the #2 cedar? The last time that I was there most of the greenery up top were sprouts trees growing out of the tops, not the actual tree. Did you notice that when the boardwalk was built around the tree many of the root buttresses were cut off?

Tom i was wishing i had some binoculars when i was there, i couldn't say for sure where the growth was coming from. I saw the cut roots and thought...wtf!?...then remembered that this tree was 'saved' by a logging company 'doing the right thing.'
