Several reasons we decided to keep it open. There are no additional property taxes if it is not fully enclosed. I like the ease of access not having to open and close a huge door. I worried about my wife pulling into the area it we had two doors instead. The opening is 32' so I would think it would have needed two doors. It serves it's purpose, keeps the weather off of the cars.

I know how you could have solved the leaves getting in the carport problem!
