We won an award gang!

Apparently, I'm the best in Arboriculture in my town! I'm proud to display this trophy as a hood ornament in my office truck/bid wagon/grocery getter

Yeah it's a bit of a scam. They get you to buy an award they say you won. Here's the email:

On behalf of the US Institute of Trade & Commerce, I have the pleasure to inform you that in regards to your role at Tree Buzz, you have been recognized for Excellence in Leadership Development.

The USITC has been conducting annual surveys of companies for the past few years where we pick certain industries each year and post evaluating various metrics including reviews both offline and online, a selected list is forwarded to our panel and they choose to recognize certain companies in each geography with an award. It does frequently transpire that some companies only hear about their nomination and when we send this official email at the end of the process to clarify if they were selected as an award recipient or not.

Further details on this selection can be viewed on our website including the press release that was produced for this occasion (which is not distributed till mutual review is complete). To review the award and the accompanying press release please go to www.usitc.org and enter the Reference digits on the top right corner of the homepage. Or the link below will take you to the appropriate page directly.

I'd take it to the club and show it off to the pretty girls and see how much I could impress with that pretty crystal that proves I was a high rollin' successful business owner.

If you know what I mean.

Roll their scam into my own scam.

Reminds me of the time I (and two other students) stuck a fetal pig in a salad bowl, filled it with green jello, and stuck it in our general biology teacher's summer field station cabin fridge. The next morning, the field station director was yelling at us because his wife had discovered it in their fridge. The biology teacher was doubly smug because he scoped us out to see who reacted, and was also enjoying the director's rant...

I assume that when you were done with your silver plated coat hanger wire, you compensated the pig well, to avoid a paternity lawsuit?

@JeffGu One of us is a dastardly, horrible man, lol. This is why we get passed up by legitimate institutes for awards. Sorry for dragging down your aspirations for web awards and fame, @Mark Chisholm. Maybe you can work out the bottled rage by doing a few more ice pond power slides in that Fortnite golf cart you take out to cruise the powerlines. :boxeador::burlas:
