"we risk our lives so you don't have to"

Re: \"we risk our lives so you don\'t have to\"

Wow the second one is a classic and should be titled " How not to top a tree, if you can even call that act topping ". Looked really dangerous and what's with the skid steer pushing a simple felling task. That is some really lazy man work. Looked like a nice ( spur climbing ) fun removal where you could let stuff fly, no obstacles below. Lots of really bad videos of tree work posted on youtube. Paul.

Re: \"we risk our lives so you don\'t have to\"

But I also have to say there are many good one's too. We just have to sift through them. Paul.

What he really needed was a second guy in the tree to help reave on that tautline hitch.

Who made those his competition? I guess LLC stands for limited liability company. Not sure what that is but it sounds like a good thing for that guy.

Re: \"we risk our lives so you don\'t have to\"

I'm sorry, but I had to:

1:26 He nearly severed the ATB wire and nailed the boom.

1:56 Easy to see that the load was going to be in his face.

2:30-2:43 What was the notch for? I thouhgt he was going to blow out the top, but it was a regular pick. What was the one handed operation for? Was he tied in? And another hard hit against the boom.

3:30 Some one said, "Pretty amazing."

If they only knew.

4:11 Boom contact again! This time the whole boom moves laterally. I've never seen or imagined a boom move like that.

5:25 He "Still gets a little nervous". Seriously? He's nervous because he has no formal training, no real experience, and has no sense of safety.

5:39 No chaps and no helmet on the ground.

6:20 He called it a quality job. Seriously?! How about the monster divot in the lawn from the spar hitting the ground. Sure, I don't know if they added soil and reseeded the ground, but come on.

And why was he bombing out some smaller limbs? The crane was right there. All of that debris creates more work.

Sorry folks. I had to.

"this aint for sissies or crybabies" Just call American Tree

I would be real brave if I could cut trees in his "man basket"

maybe he thought there could be a shark up in that tree...

Re: \"we risk our lives so you don\'t have to\"

What a mess and what a overal lack of safety and skill.

At 4:45 he "almost" had a good pick

I was going to say the same thing. The rest of them looked like they were damaging the crane.

The whole 'chubby guy one handing chain saw out of a man-basket' set to the dramatic music is just too much. I nearly spewed coffee on my computer.

Re: \"we risk our lives so you don\'t have to\"

I don't find that unusual. Those are the guys I have to meet or beat their prices. Doesn't everyone have those guys in their market? At least he had his chainsaw on a lanyard and some kind of helmet on sometimes.

Whoa I wish I'd filmed some of the work I've seen. It gets much worse. Think James the Narcaleptic and that would be the guy bragging about his 30 years experience up here.

That this is his promotional video is the disturbing part. It's more of a blooper tape. This could be one of those guys that someone should hassle, he looks like he could be fun.
